The Session is a two-week long professional skills training program. Students can take a 3-credit course focused not on substantive doctrine, but on the performance of lawyering tasks – drafting transactional documents, arguing motions, interviewing clients, preparing expert witnesses, etc. The classes meet four to five hours per day for ten days.
All 1Ls are required to take Contract Negotiation and Drafting. Upperclassman have the option to take a class during the Skill Session and can choose from the courses that are offered.
