Carrington Published in Ohio State Journal

Tucker Carrington, director of the Mississippi Innocence Project at the University of Mississippi School of Law, will be published in a forthcoming edition of the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law.  The article, entitled “Counseling Conscience”, is part of a symposium comparing how members of different professions would respond to the problem of counseling a guilty client when an innocent person has been accused or convicted of a crime the client committed. The symposium is based loosely on Morales v. Portuondo, 154 F. Supp. 2d 706 (2001), a Southern District of New York case, where a young man went to a local priest and told him that he had killed someone and that an innocent man had been accused and convicted.

Contributors include several lawyers/professors, members of the clergy and psychologists.
