Professor Tucker Carrington Elected to the American Law Institute

Professor Tucker Carrington of the Mississippi Innocence Project was named to the American Law Institute in its April 2015 membership election.  The American Law Institute is the leading independent organization in the United States producing scholarly work to clarify, modernize, and otherwise improve the law.   The elected membership are selected on the basis of professional achievement and demonstrated interest in improving the law.

The Institute is made up of 4000 lawyers, judges, and law professors of the highest qualifications, who draft, discuss, revise, and publish Restatements of the Law, model statutes, and principles of law that are enormously influential in the courts and legislatures, as well as in legal scholarship and education.  Membership in the American Law Institute is a distinct professional honor, and is comprised of individuals reflecting excellence and diversity in today’s legal profession.
